Storyline: Down and out rock star Dewey Finn gets fired from his crew, and he faces a mountain of debts and lowness. He takes a job as a 4th step substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his attitude and hijinx be delivered of a powerful effect on his students. He too meets Zack, a 10-year-intelligent guitar prodigy, who could help Dewey gain the victory a battle of the bands competition, that would solve his financial problems and incite him back in the spotlight.
